The best milk chocolate in the world

Omnom received the biggest honour awarded in chocolate making last Saturday in Florence, Italy at the International Chocolate Awards when Milk of Nicaragua was awarded best in competition overall winner in the category for Plain / Origin milk bar.

“We never could have imagined that five years ago when Omnom was created that we would win an award like this. It has always been a part of our mission to use best ingredients available. This is a recognition for that,” says Kjartan Gíslason, chocolate maker and co-founder of Omnom.

Besides the best in competition award, Omnom was awarded four other gold awards and received three silver awards and three bronze awards.

About the International Chocolate Awards

“The International Chocolate Awards is an independent competition recognizing excellence in fine chocolate making and, in the products, made with fine chocolate. As the World’s only fully independent international fine chocolate competition, we aim to support companies producing fine chocolate and chocolatiers, small companies and artisans working with fine chocolate. By helping these markets to grow and develop, we also aim to support the farmers that grow fine cacao.”
