This simple and wonderful recipe has been in my family for generations, and I have been baking these delightful cookies since I was a child.
Happy advent!

Christmas tops
300 g butter
150 g sugar
450 g flour
400 g marzipan
200 g roughly chopped chocolate, like Milk of Madagascar, Sea Salted Toffee or Tanzania 70% (make sure you have big chunks)
Directions
Mix butter and sugar until the mixture becomes light and fluffy. Add flour and knead together
Cool for at least one hour
Roll out the dough between two pieces of baking sheets, so it is about 0,5 cm thick, and let it cool.
Roll out the marzipan in the same manner and size as the dough and place it over it, making sure to have it very even and smooth. Use round cookie cutters and make around 4-5 cm wide cookies. Place cookies on the baking sheet and a baking tray.
Bake at 170C for 5-10 minutes, ensuring they don’t brown too much. Put a chunk of chocolate on top of every cookie as soon as they come out of the oven.
Allow them to cool down.
